![]() ![]() ![]() We tried the Japanese, Blue Moon and La Dolce Vita in the evening, La Dolce Vita being our favourite, this restaurant is well managed by el capitan Vianney. There is also fresh fruit, snacks and later in the morning two hot trays with assorted food, also two computers with full internet access. On the beach you have your own separate area with a dedicated waitresss named Azucena - she really is a pocket rocket and a credit to the hotel, you can also use the privilege lounge next to La Dolce Vita where there is a coffee machine, a well stocked fridge with drinks and also a drinks tray if you wish to make your own. The breakfast menu is very extensive but can be tailored to your own tastes - my wife had Mexican breakfast twice and really enjoyed it, some mornings I had just one egg and a slice of toast, we always finished with a Mimosa!, just ask and they will do their very best to accommodate your needs,a special mention here to Alberto who is fantastic and assisted by Jose - two fantastic waiters who were a pleasure to know. You can also take breakfast in La Dolce Vita on the beach - what a way to have breakfast - in the sunshine overlooking the beach. You are also able to book the a la carte restaurants up to 5pm the same day - this is a great option as if there are queues you go to the front and get seated first. As part of the privilege you get 2 beach towels in addition to pool towels and it is in the evening that you will get your beach towels replaced. Our room was kept immaculately clean, towels were changed twice a day - in the evening there was a turn down service, the lady emptied the bins, left chocolates, tidied the bed and left clean towels. You do get a little noise from the kitchen but on the whole we liked this block. Our room 206 was on the second floor of the privilege building (which is exactly what we had requested in our email to Maria Lopez) it had a view of the gardens which we liked, my wife would be up most mornings at 6am and would watch the coatis, cereque, and on our last morning 2 deer. On check in (special area for privilege guests) my wife was not well - a combination of 10 hour flight, a queue at Cancun to clear customs, and the heat, but the young lady was very caring, ringing us twice in the room to make sure she was ok and didn't need a doctor. That night I had room service and a drink from the mini bar which proved extremely useful Ok you do get top shelf alcohol (but if you're having cocktails I don't think it matters so much), however the top branded spirits do make a difference. We have just returned from a two week holiday with privilege upgrade and can say it was worth every single penny. ![]() A lot has been written on this forum that privilege is not worth it - usually from those who haven't experienced it. ![]() Our room was kept immaculately clean, towels were changed twice a day - in the evening there was a turn down service, the lady emptied the.
